About

Who am I?

Hi—I’m Tam and I help children discover their voice. With qualifications as a Registered General Nurse and a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor), I’ve spent years in community and child-health settings where I’ve seen first-hand how speech and language difficulties impact children and their families. Alongside this, I completed a Level 3 Award in Speech & Language (Higher Distinction) to deepen my commitment to supporting children’s communication.

I discovered that, beyond my formal roles, I have a genuine ability—and a passion—for helping children speak more confidently. Drawing on my nursing, health-visiting and speech-language training, I channel that into meaningful, play-based support that makes a genuine difference.

Private Speech Therapy | E-STIP for Children

My experience ranges from working with children with medical or neuro-developmental needs, behavioural challenges, and ages spanning from 18 months to 16 years. Each child brings their own strengths and story. I believe in building a partnership—with the child, the family, and the team around them—so that progress is meaningful in everyday life.

What I love most about what I do is seeing that moment when a child finds the words they’ve been trying to say—when their smile grows because someone hears them. Supporting children in communicating clearly is deeply rewarding—for me, for parents, and, most importantly, for the children themselves.

Welcome to E-STIP; I’m honoured to be part of your child’s communication journey.

Mission Statement

We envision a world where every child speaks with confidence, shares their thoughts freely, and lights up conversations with assurance and delight.

Vision Statement

At E-STIP, we empower children to expand their speech and language abilities so they can be heard and understood—with confidence, clarity and joy.

E-STIP Helps children who struggle to talk

Early Development

Becoming a parent is a natural and rewarding experience. Your child will experience many great developmental adventures that will shape and transform them into great human beings. However, the birth of a child is just the beginning of their journey, and often journeys can bring difficult situations.

Speech and Language

Nothing is more natural than speaking. So when a child begins to struggle with their speech and language, they are unable to express themselves effectively. This is very frustrating and often distressing for both child and parents.

Interactive Play

E-STIP was created and is designed to provide a private, bespoke individualised service that provides intensive support to children and parents in those crucial years of development, ages 0-5. E-STIP offers interactive play for children who struggle with their language development. Our primary focus is on helping children who are struggling to talk.

Make Teaching Fun

The aim is to divert the focus away from the difficulties they are experiencing and channelling it into interactive play. Play is the main area in which children learn. It is proven to have a hugely beneficial impact on children developing their speech and language. By incorporating fun into teaching, it allows for a more memorable experience.

The Learning Pathway

Repetitive techniques shall be incorporated into your child’s play on a one to one basis. In addition, progress charts and rewards will become a part of their learning pathway. Homework will be set as a standard and is an essential part of your child’s progress. This routine encourages the discipline of practice and helps parents get involved.

Individual Progress

It is important to know that E-STIP is not a medical, behavioural or diagnostic service. If you have any of these concerns, please consult the relevant professionals. You should also note that every child will progress differently due to individual obstacles or diagnoses. It will be necessary to inform of any diagnosis that your child may have or any assessments or interventions that awaits.
